siaran pers Chevron Kontribusikan US$ 562.500 Untuk Pemulihan Pasca Gempa Bumi dan Tsunami di Lombok, Palu, dan Donggala

Penyerahan bantuan pemulihan paskagempa bumi dan tsunami Chevron untuk Sulawesi Tengah kepada Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) di Jakarta (7/10).

Jakarta, Indonesia, October 8, 2018 – The Chevron IndoAsia Business Unit (IBU) today announced a total contribution of $562,500 (approx. IDR 8.4 billion) in support of relief efforts for Lombok, Palu, and Donggala earthquakes and tsunami.

$500,000 of the contribution comes from the Chevron Corporate Global Community Fund as grants to international non-profit humanitarian organizations Mercy Corps and Save the Children. Another $62,500 is allocated for the emergency response in Lombok, Palu, and Donggala. This emergency response assistance is channeled through a national non-profit humanitarian organization named Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) and a joint initiative of SKK Migas-Production Sharing Contractors (PSC) in the amount of $25,000 and $37,500 respectively. Chevron IBU will also dispatch its medical doctors to Palu dan Donggala as part of SKK Migas-PSCs’ Medical Team.

  “Chevron wants to help with the response to these devastating earthquakes and tsunami, which have a severe impact on the lives of thousands of our brothers in Lombok, Palu, and Donggala,” said Chevron IBU Managing Director Kevin Lyon. “Our heartfelt thoughts are with the people affected by these natural disasters.”

  The amount of the contribution would increase since the Chevron IBU is currently collecting its employees cash donation through a program named “Chevron Berbakti”. The Company has set up a 1:1 cash donation matching fund program, where the Company will match the full amount of employees’ cash donation. The total amount collected will be added to rehabilitation and reconstruction program in Lombok, Palu, and Donggala.
